The Nautical West
The beloved Berkeley Pit Swim Team. Renowned winners of innumerable championships and world records. Some naysayers attribute these victories to certain “biological advantages and abnormalities” in the team’s unique genetic makeup but these hardworking athletes are in the water day after day putting in the necessary training and practice just like everyone else.

Part of the inspiration for this design came from research that has been done about the discovery of various extremophiles that have been found living on the surface of the toxic-waste water of the Pit. Those stories have made the pop sci rounds over the years [Here’s a good one]
This member of the Berekley Pit Swim Team depicted is a genetic anomaly meant only in the best way possible, we’re talking X-Men caliber, super-mutant kind of stuff folks. I hope this silly image is taken as just that and isn’t interpreted with any mal-intent or insensitivity towards anyone who has been affected by any toxic disasters of modern history.
Also, as a lifelong Montanan, I know there are plenty of folks who will take cheap shots at Butte. I love Butte wholeheartedly. If you’ve ever had a conversation with me about it you know I will defend the city(maybe to a fault) against any and all shit talkers. It’s unquestionably the most significant city in modern Montana history and is just a great, authentic place filled with really solid people.

Aerosol-diers are one of a kind, limited edition, characters hand-crafted, modified and uniquely painted from carefully collected vintage figures. Every hero is equipped with brushes and nozzles used in paintings, murals and other of my artworks from around 2017-2020.
Each Aerosol-dier comes with their very own specialized and numbered packaging. Details have been carefully looked after down to the signature punch out tab. Being customized and created directly by the artist, each carries imperfections you wouldn’t find from an assembly line. Glue visible in some display bubbles, each backer board goes through multiple hand-building stages so there may be slight misalignment variations from figure to figure. However there will be no doubt these limited edition collectible art toys are unlike anything you’ve ever known!
